Be Still and Small

The tallest tree still bends to rain,

The brightest star must fade again.

The mountain waits, the river bows —

So too must we, in wonder, now.

To walk with grace is not to lead,

But plant a seed and let it be.

To speak with love is not to prove,

But leave some space for truth to move.

The humble heart does not demand,

It learns the shape of open hands.

It finds its worth in quiet things —

The song a sparrow softly sings,

The dawn that comes without applause,

The mercy written into flaws.

For pride builds walls that cannot last,

But kindness builds a bridge that’s vast.

And when we kneel, the soul can see —

Greatness lives in humility.

With love & light,

Crystal Amon
